Happy new years everyone!

I hope everyone has a great new years!
And everyone is safe!
Tonight we are staying home with the family.
Poor little Mace has a ear infection, so he left us alone for our new years.

Resolutions are easily forgotten. So why not make a
                                           dream jar!

What would you keep inside your dream jar?

This year I'm hoping we can add a new addition to my family!
Fingers crossed for a baby to stick!
Come on little sister for Mason!!!
We have suffered 3 miscarriages in 2012 .
Now that we are in 2013 hopefully our luck will change!

Ceramic and sharpie art

Last night I was up til 3am making these and wrapping presents.
They said to use sharpies, so I did.
Well I would never recommend that, I heard to try ceramic pens.
Directions said to use sharpies and bake in the oven for 30 minutes at 300 F.
Well it did not come out like they claimed lol.

And!!!!!!
Here's my bambino today at his first birthday party.
Tomorrow he will be officially 1 at 12am..
Time flys.

Thank you for looking !
And Merry Christmas!!

Mountain pants

While looking on Disney baby I came across these awsome pants.
They are called mountain leggings or pants.

So of course I had to try them :)
On the site and etsy they cost $45.00
I payed 3.88 for the leggings from walmart.
And for the paint I just used my light blue and aqua color.

I cut triangles out of sponge.
Then I painted in the triangles.

I finished on side now just waiting for it to dry to start the other side.

Our next craft.

So I came across this cute idea I think Mason will love!
Okay I don't think I KNOW he will love!
Beanbag Snakes!
Using old ties.

Also we are going to make these really cute nut crackers out of little peices of wood left over from dudes work.

Very excited for these crafts coming up!
I also want to start building Mason his own little craft station so he can start making his own art.
We will be buying a house hopefully very soon and we will have a room just for crafts.

Finally posted.

I'm terribly late but here is how my salt dough craft came out.
I painted them using Acrylic gloss paint for the blue, Acrylic paint for yellow, and Metallic Acrylic paint for the red.
I then put them back in the oven for an hour and they came out perfect and glossy
For the back I will be using a sharpie to right from Mason to grandma, ect.

Salt Dough Footprint Keepsakes

These little footprints were very easy and very cheap.
They make perfect keepsake gifts for Christmas,fathers/mothers day, Etc.
We made ours for Christmas that can be tree ornaments or even hung on the wall.
First you will need :
1 cup of salt
1 cup of plain flour
Half a cup of warm water
Poor everything into a large bowl & knead it until smooth and  stretchy.
This is very important! Or the dough remains sticky and quite granular from the salt.
If it is still too sticky add a bit more flour, if too dry and crumbly then add a tiny touch more water.

Once dough is knead I divided it into equal parts on to plates the size of my son's feet.
I flatten the dough out and used a bowl to make them into perfect circles.
I also used a cookie cutter for the moon.
Then I had my son tread one foot into the middle of the dough plaques.
Then next with his hands.

I used a toothpick to carve M's, M-Q, and 2012 into the dough.
If you want to hang yours on the wall then you need to add a hole with a straw before it goes in the oven like I did in the pictures.
The plaques then went into the oven for 3 hours at  200 degrees F (around 100 degrees C).
It needs to be on a very low heat for a length of time to thoroughly dry out and harden. If the oven is too hot they will rise and "cook". The thinner the dough and the lower the temperature, the better these will turn out! If they are still doughy in the centre after 3 hours then turn them over and put them back in for another 2 hours.

Tomorrow I will post how they came out.
I will also paint them using pearlised acrylic paints.

Not so cute feather blanket.

So I followed the instruction on the tutorial of the blanket,
and I just have to say potatoes stamps suck.
So I tried many different things but nothing worked like I wanted.
The only thing was to draw and then paint.
But no way I'm going to cover a huge blanket by hand painted feathers.
So I just painted 3 arrows and left it like that .
Thank god I have an extra white blanket!
I need to run to my local craft store and buy stamps.
And HOPEFULLY my blanket will turn out right.

My arrows are all made by Q-tips.
I need to get all my paint brushes back from my friend.

Banana and peanut butter smoothie.

Today has some what gone as planned just not the way I wanted.
I will post about my blanket soon after this.
But tonight Mason and I enjoyed a smoothie with our dinner.

Froze our bananas ,
Blended and added Mason's whole milk & peanut butter.

And thats it!
My favorite smoothie growing up.

Feather blanket!

Today I'm going to be making Mason a feather blanket.
I'm so in love with this idea, I think I might even add little feather arrows to it, like the onsie I posted before.

I found this awsome tutorial on pinterest also.
Feel free to fallow me by the way:
Can't wait to start this when the fiance gets home.
